Our friend Ikiaka came for an early morning visit-we were happy to see him and hear how he is doing! He and his family were great friends and neighbors from Church when we lived in Southern CA!

Some photos of Christmas Eve (my family usually did a Christmas Eve dinner rather than a Christmas day dinner-so we invited Saki's parents over for Christmas Eve and went over there on Christmas Day), Christmas, and Mere's birthday. We did a little nativity and Mere and Glenn are wearing headpieces my parents got when they visited Jerusalem-which I thought was really neat.

This week we went to Sausalito to see the fifth annual Gingerbread Contest. It was a neat idea-there's a lot of downtown shops, hotels, and restaurants and the ones that chose to participate were on a map so you walk store to store and see the different gingerbread displays. Some were made by people in the store or those they knew and other's were professionally made. It was nice to walk around while seeing them. It was hard to have the kids not touch them-some stores had theirs in cases, which was a good idea.
